§ 6-17. Building code, residential code adopted.

  • (a)

    That a certain document is on file in the office of the city clerk of the city, being marked and designated as the International Building Code (2006 edition), including appendix chapters, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., be and is hereby adopted as the building code of the city; for the control of building and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of said building code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this section.

    (b)

    That a certain document is on file in the office of the city clerk of the city, being marked and designated as International Residential Code (2006 edition), including Appendix Chapters, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the code of the city for regulating the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses not more than three stories in height in the city, and providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such International Residential Code, 2006 edition, published by the International Code Council on file in the office of the city clerk are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this section.
