§ 2-98. Power to solicit assistance, call out militia.

  • The mayor shall have power, when necessary, to call on every male inhabitant of the city over the age of 18 years to aid in enforcing the laws and ordinances, and to call out the militia to aid in suppressing riots and other disorderly conduct or carrying into effect any law or ordinance, subject to the authority of the governor as commander-in-chief of the militia.
