§ 2-87. Form of commission.

The commission to be issued to any elected or appointed officer shall be substantially in the following form:

COMMISSION
CITY OF MOUNT CARMEL

State of Illinois, County of Wabash

Know all men by these Presents:

That whereas _______ on the _____ day of _______ A.D. ___, was duly _______ to the office of _______ of the City of Mount Carmel, in the County of Wabash, and State of Illinois, the said _______ is therefore hereby authorized and commissioned to perform the duties of the said office of _______ from the date hereof until his successor is duly _______ and qualified, unless this commission is sooner revoked.

In witness whereof this commission is signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the Clerk of the said City of Mount Carmel, and the corporate seal thereof is hereunto affixed this _____ day of ___ A.D. 19___.
