§ 2-6. City datum.

  • The datum line or level to be used by the city in designating elevations, and in the establishment of grades for streets and sidewalks, and in the making of surveys in the said city and the establishment of all elevations, shall be a grade line 464.86 feet below the bench mark made by the United States geological surveyor, and marked by the tablet on top of the sill in the imitation window on the west side of the south wing of the courthouse in the city, being the same datum line as heretofore used by the city.
