§ 19-45. Street names ratified and enumerated.

The names of the streets of the city as heretofore established by ordinance are hereby ratified and confirmed and are as follows:

The streets running in a northerly and southerly direction shall be as follows:

The street running in a northerly and southerly direction along the west side of the county court house shall be called Market Street.

The first street east of the said Market Street shall be called Mulberry Street. The second street east of the said Market Street shall be called Cherry Street. The third street east of the said Market Street shall be called Pear Street. The fourth street east of the said Market Street shall be called Plum Street.

The street running in a northwesterly direction from the intersection of Market Street and Thirteenth Street to the corporate limits shall be called College Drive.

The street running diagonally along the river bluff from Second Street southwesterly to Pear Street shall be called Front Street.

The first street west of the said Market Street shall be called Chestnut Street. The second street west of the said Market Street shall be called Walnut Street. The third street west of the said Market Street shall be called Cedar Street. The fourth street west of the said Market Street shall be called Poplar Street. The fifth street west of Market Street shall be called Bellmont Street. The sixth street west of the said Market Street shall be called Elm Street. The seventh street west of the said Market Street shall be called Ash Street. The eighth street West of the said Market Street shall be called Hackberry Street. The ninth street west of Market Street along the west side of Outlot 18 shall be called Sycamore Lane. The tenth street west of the said Market Street shall be called Division Street. The eleventh street west of the said Market Street shall be called Vine Street. The twelfth street west of the said Market Street shall be called Locust Street. The thirteenth street west of the said Market Street shall be called Oak Street.

The first street running northwesterly and southeasterly through the westerly side of Hinde and McDowell's Addition to the city, from Wabash Avenue to River Front Street, shall be called Seitz Avenue.

The first street northeasterly from the said Seitz Avenue, running parallel with the same through Hinde and McDowell's Addition, shall be called Rees Street.

The second street northeasterly from the said Seitz Avenue, running parallel with the same through Hinde and McDowell's Addition shall be called Ballentine Avenue.

The third street northeasterly from the said Seitz Avenue, running parallel with the same through Hinde and McDowell's Addition, shall, be called Johnson Avenue.

The fourth street northeasterly from the said Seitz Avenue, running parallel with the same through Hinde and McDowell's Addition, shall be called Ogden Avenue.

The fifth street northeasterly from the said Seitz Avenue, running parallel with the same, extending from River Front Street to Pear Street, shall be called Stein Avenue.

The street running easterly and westerly along the south side of Lot "G" of the subdivision of the Commons shall be called Stratton Avenue.

In Sunnyside and Westover Heights Additions to the City of Mount Carmel, the first street running north and south through said Additions west of Poplar Street, shall be called Landes Street.

The first street west of the said Landes Street, running parallel with the same through the said Additions shall be called Parrish Street.

The first street west of the said Parrish Street, running through the said Additions parallel with the same, shall be called Bainum Street.

The first street running north and south, which lies west of Poplar Street extending south from Ninth Street to the C.C.C. & St. L.R.R. shall be called Stokes Street.

The street running north and south through Outlot No. 213 shall be called Franklin Avenue.

The streets running in an easterly and westerly direction shall be as follows:

The street running in an easterly and westerly direction along the north side of the Bluff City Park, designated as Block B in the subdivision of the Commons, shall be called First Street.

The second street north of said park shall be called Second Street.

The third street north of said park shall be called Third Street.

The fourth street north of said park shall be called Fourth Street.

The fifth street north of said park shall be called Fifth Street.

The sixth street north of said park shall be called Sixth Street.

The seventh street north of said park shall be called Seventh Street.

The eighth street north of said park shall be called Eighth Street.

The ninth street north of said park shall be called Ninth Street.

The tenth street north of said park shall be called Tenth Street.

The eleventh street north of said park shall be called Eleventh Street.

The twelfth street north of said park shall be called Twelfth Street.

The thirteenth street north of said park shall be called Thirteenth Street.

The first street south of the said First Street shall be called Hinde Street.

The second street south of the said First Street shall be called McDowell Street.

The third street south of the said First Street shall be called Beauchamp Street. Said street connects Mulberry Street with Cherry Street.

The street lying along the northwest side of Hinde and McDowell's Addition to the City of Mount Carmel, extending from Mulberry Street to Stein Avenue shall be called Wabash Avenue.

The first street southeast of Wabash Avenue, running through Hinde and McDowell's Addition, shall be called Bell Avenue.

The second street southeast of Wabash Avenue, running through Hinde and McDowell's Addition, shall be called Sharp Avenue.

The street running along the southeast side of Hinde and McDowell's Addition, being the first street north of the Wabash River at that point, shall be called River Front Street.

The street extending northeasterly from the intersection of Stein Avenue with Wabash Avenue, shall be called Hydraulic Street.

The street running easterly and westerly through the center of that part of Copp's Addition to the city, which lies between Second and Third Streets, shall be called Copp Avenue.

The street running along the north side of Sunnyside Addition to the city shall be called Sweeney Avenue.

The street running east and west through Westover Heights, north of Sweeney Avenue, shall be called Westover Avenue.

The street running east and west through the center of Outlot No. 213 shall be called Jaquess Avenue.
