§ 14-38. Fee license.

  • (a)

    The license fee for video gaming terminals pursuant to Illinois Video Gaming Act, shall be $25.00 per terminal, per year. All other coin operated amusement devices shall pay an annual fee of $10.00 per device.

    The terminal operator shall pay the $25.00 license fee.

    The owner of the coin operated amusement devices, other than video gaming terminals, shall pay the $10.00 license fee.

    (b)

    The $25.00 license fee shall be non-assignable and non-transferable and shall be personal as to each such device and may not be transferred to any other terminal. The $10.00 license fee shall be transferable.

    (c)

    All license fees shall be paid annually, in advance, and in no case shall any portion of said license fee be refundable to the licensee.

    (d)

    The license period shall be for a 12-month period and all applications for renewal shall be to made to the city clerk no more than 30 days, nor less than ten days prior to the end of such license period. In the event a license is obtained during such 12-month period, there shall be no prorations or reduction of the license fee.
