§ 12-163. Right to appeal; notice of appeal.

  • (a)

    An appeal may be taken by any person aggrieved by any officer, department, board or bureau of the city.

    (b)

    An appeal shall be initiated by the filing of a written notice to appeal within thirty days from the date of the decision appealed. Such notice shall be filed with the board of housing appeals and shall specify the grounds thereof, except that in the case of a building or structure which in the opinion of the city inspector or the fire chief is unsafe or dangerous, the city inspector or fire chief may in his order limit the time for such appeal to a shorter period.

    (c)

    The city inspector shall forthwith transmit to the board of housing appeals all the papers upon which the action appealed from was taken when notified of the appeal by the board of appeals.
